Why Do People Still Have Desktops?
In the age of notebooks, laptops, and internet friendly cell phones it is quite surprising that people still use those big clunky desktops. Still there are millions of people that will not get rid of them. There are many reasons for this. One of them is comfort. More work can be done at a large terminal with a chair and a desk for the person to relax on. People who spend long periods of time using a computer want to be able to have a seat while they type. Though laptops can also fit onto a table, it is still more comfortable to use a desktop sized unit.
Another reason people still have desktops is because of the keyboard and screen. Many people prefer to have a full sized keyboard and monitor. A fast typist prefers a full keyboard to a laptop keyboard or a cell phone keypad because the hands are more free for faster typing. Smaller devices restrict hand movement which could be counter productive for the individual.
One more reason why desktops are still in is because the other devices still can not quite do what desktops can do. For example, a music producer or a singer would not be able run a large production program or keep the material on a laptop, notebook, or smartphone.
