Laptop Vs. Desktop–How Do They Differ?
A lot of people wonder if they should get a laptop, or a desktop. If you don’t need to tote your computer around with you but want the option obviously you should go with a laptop. If you know that you’ll never need to take it with you and it doesn’t bother you to keep it in the same general place then a desktop is ideal. The difference is because desktops are more affordable in a few ways. One way is that you can simply replace a video card or network card if they aren’t built in. You can replace the processor or simply upgrade to a new one. The upside to this is that you don’t have to do a lot of work to get the tower open. As for a laptop you have to take out a lot of screws and in many cases pry the casing apart. You can’t just replace a chip in a laptop where on a desktop you would find an entire card usually with one screw holding it in. Laptops are great for travel and are more affordable everyday. Desktop computers you can find even with screens for about the same price as laptops so its really just a toss up of what you want out of a computer. If you find laptop keyboards and mice are more ergonomic for your hands and arms then it may be the best choice. If you find that the accessories you want to use for a desktop are better than you may want to go with that decision. The real question about it all is that we know what we want and we know what we can afford and the only person that can really make that decision is you. So what about you Laptop or Desktop?
